An HDPE blow molding machine is an extrusion blow molding machine (EBM) specifically designed to process High-Density Polyethylene resin into hollow containers. The machine melts HDPE pellets, extrudes them as a hollow parison, clamps it in a mold, and inflates it with compressed air.

A 100-point parison controller divides the parison height into 100 programmable zones. Wall thickness at each zone is independently controlled — critical for large HDPE drums where uneven walls cause rejection.

The 100-point DigiPack III system on Sailwin machines reduces material waste by up to 15% versus machines with fewer control points.

A single die head produces one container per cycle. A double die head produces two simultaneously — doubling output with the same footprint. SW-2S2L, SW-2S5L and SW-2S12L are the double die head versions.

Double die head is recommended when daily output volume is a priority. For larger containers (30L+), single die head accumulator machines are standard.

Yes. Sailwin's SW-S30L to SW-S260L accumulator series feature HMW-HDPE compatible screws with anti-sagging design. HMW-HDPE provides superior impact resistance for chemical drums and industrial containers.

The anti-sagging geometry ensures parison stability during the blow cycle, preventing thin-wall defects at the bottom of large containers.

Price depends on container volume, die head count, clamping type and configuration. Small tie-bar models (SW-S2L) are significantly more affordable than large accumulator machines (SW-S80L, SW-S260L).

Sailwin machines produce containers compatible with UN 3H1 (solid goods) and UN 3H2 (liquid goods) certification requirements when correct HDPE resin grade and mold design are used. UN certification is issued to the finished container by an accredited laboratory — not to the machine itself.
